Ishani first stepped on the mat over 15 years ago at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in NYC. Realizing that it helped bring a sense of calmness in an otherwise chaotic day, she was quickly drawn into the practice. She continued her practice while juggling work, grad school and training as a dancer in the classical Indian Bharatanatyam style of dance. She realized that she wanted to share her love of yoga with others, and so completed her teacher training at ExtendYoga in North Bethesda, MD.
Ishani blends Vinyasa flow with mindfulness meditation and short anecdotal readings from various yogic texts. She focuses on posture, alignment and form for every body and ability.
Ishani is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable yoga practice for all levels.
Private yoga and meditation classes are offered to meet every body and every need.
